Keeping active after school to hanging out with friends during the holidays. We’ve got just the thing to build water confidence, new skills, learn fun games and make some new friends. Sometimes we SUP, sometimes we kayak – we always have fun.
We offer after School sessions from the first Tuesday after June half-term until the school holidays begin. We offer sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday during Easter, Half-Term & Summer Holidays!
SCHOOL Holiday Sessions
SUMMER HOLIDAYS 2022
BORN TO RIDE – Mirroring the adult Ready to Ride, this lesson teaches paddling technique and how to manage weather and tide conditions. Click here for more details and to book. Monday & Wednesday throughout the holidays..

AFTER SCHOOL SESSIONS
All sessions take place on Tuesday, starting in June after the half term holiday.
Shrimps & Starfish – 4pm.
Teens – 5pm
SHRIMPS (Reception – Year 2)

Whats included: board/kayak, paddles, wetsuit, buoyancy aid
You might want to bring: A hat if it is very sunny or very cold, sunglasses on a string, suncream, some water to keep hydrated.
Note: Shrimps must have a parent or guardian at the centre or on the waters edge at all times. Anyone misbehaving will be taken off the water and asked to leave the centre. We reserve the right to combine sessions based on number of participants, Shrimp and Starfish sessions may become one group on occasion.
STARFISH (Year 3 – 6)

Young Teens (Years 7 – 9)

Note: Teens can rock up by themselves but a parent or guardian must sign a disclaimer at the beginning of the season and both the participant and the responsible adult must agree to the terms of use. Anyone misbehaving will be taken off the water and asked to leave the centre. We reserve the right to combine sessions based on number of participants, Young Teens and Older Teens may become one group on occasion.
Older Teens (Years 10+)
Once they hit Year 10 and beyond they know it all, don’t they? So this session is really a chance to hang out, make some friends, be a bit independent, improve skills, maybe learn some tricks and get to know the waters around Mersea. The instructor(s) are there to make sure everyone is safe and to give some direction to the paddle. Older teens are welcome to stay behind after and hang out for a while with a soft drink.
